Rambla de Castro – Playa del Castro (waterfall beach)

Location: Los Realejos, northern Tenerife
Access: From the San Pedro viewpoint car park, it is about a 15-20 minute walk downhill along a natural path, over wooden bridges and several steps of varying sizes. Park your car at the viewpoint or take the bus to stop 363 and walk from there.

Features:

Small beach with black volcanic sand/pebbles
Small waterfall along the shore that flows directly into the ocean
Ideal for taking photos, relaxing, and a quick dip
Not always safe for swimming due to waves

Best time:

Can be visited safely at low tide; at high tide, the sandy part disappears under the water

Tips:

Wear sturdy, non-slip shoes due to the stairs and rocky path
Bring water and food, as there are no services on the beach
Be prepared for the return trip, as you will have to climb the same number of steps on the way back
