El Médano

Located near El Médano Golf del Sur, this charming little town on the oceanfront is famous for its long, natural sandy beaches and relaxed, bohemian atmosphere. Due to the constant wind, it is one of the best places in Tenerife for windsurfers and kitesurfers, so you will always see colorful sails on the water. The center is lined with cafes, restaurants, small bars, and surf shops, and in the evenings, there is a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere, far from the typical "party district" scene. The promenade is ideal for an evening ice cream or dinner while admiring the ocean and the unique rock formations of Montaña Roja. The beaches of El Médano have shallow, sandy shores, making them a good choice for swimming, walking, and sunbathing. It can be reached by car from Golf del Sur in about 10 minutes, so it can easily be included in an afternoon or full-day program.
