Masca Valley

The Masca Valley is located in the northwest of Tenerife, in the Teno Mountains, surrounded by steep cliffs and deep gorges. At its center is the tiny village of Masca, with a few old stone houses, terraced fields, and palm trees, set in beautiful mountain scenery. The valley used to be isolated and difficult to access, which is why it retained its traditional, rural character for so long. Today, it is one of the most popular destinations for excursions, accessible via a winding mountain road with many viewpoints along the way. The area is a popular hiking destination, and on a clear day, you can see the ocean from the mountains.

The Masca Valley can be visited as part of an organized tour, but you can also visit the village of Masca on your own. A word of advice: arrive early in the morning, as parking spaces are limited.
