Golf del Sur

Located in the south of Tenerife, this 27-hole golf complex consisting of three separate sections was designed by Pepe Gancedo and opened in 1987. The course is unique in that it offers beautiful ocean views from several locations, while the volcanic landscape and green surfaces provide a striking contrast and spectacular surroundings.

The game is made exciting by wide fairways, volcanic sand traps, and natural ravines (such as the San Blas Valley), providing a challenge even for advanced players. One of the best-known sections is the north course, where, in good weather, the peak of Mount Teide can be seen in the background.

The complex includes a practice course and golf academy, where both complete beginners and more experienced players can take lessons and training sessions. Golf del Sur has hosted several international tournaments, so the quality of the course and the service are in line with international standards.

The area is lined with hotels, apartments, bars, and restaurants, as well as a few small rocky beaches and promenades, making it easy to combine golf with a relaxing seaside vacation.

Yellow Golf

Amarilla Golf is located right next to Golf del Sur, also in the south of Tenerife, on the edge of the beach. It is an 18-hole golf course, where several sections literally run along the edge of the ocean, so you can see the sea throughout the game, with the waves crashing close to the shore in some places.

One of the most famous shots on the course is a par 3 section where the ball must be hit over a small bay onto the green – this is the hole that is usually shown in photos when Amarilla Golf is mentioned. The layout of the course is varied: there are more open, "forgiving" fairways, but also narrower sections with water hazards and bunkers.

The surroundings of Amarilla Golf have a typical "golf resort" atmosphere: it is surrounded by villas, apartments, and pool complexes, and the clubhouse has a restaurant and bar with a terrace overlooking the course and the sea. There is also a marina nearby, making it a popular destination not only for golfers but also for those interested in sailing.

The club offers practice facilities, a driving range, and instruction, making it a good choice for those who are just getting started with the game, while also providing an enjoyable and spectacular course for advanced players.
